Why is it important to be happy?

This morning, a very astute national news reporter posed the question, "Why is it important to be happy in your work?" Actually asking that question is compelling. A better question: "Why are you unhappy in your work and life?" More, importantly, "Who controls your happiness?"

4 out of 5 people are "unhappy" in their work, so the question is certainly relevant. The unemployment rate is currently hovering around 10% nationally; yet, even though 90% (of the working age) U.S. population are employed, the perception is that unemployment affects the majority. Why?

"The Bliss List" www.YourBlissList.com offers insight into the cause of this dilemma, but, more importantly, offers solutions. What's holding you from your happiness and when is a good time to change?
